The rolling hills of the Te Arai Estate provide a range of options. Each site has been carefully considered to offer a prime building site for your architect to realise your vision. The stunning location offers breath taking sea and island views and a lifestyle section that fits your dream, without compromising on your privacy.

Naturally Te Arai offers a sealed road with services like power, water and phone ready to go. Te Arai also offers an onsite groundskeeper, offering peace of mind and ensuring the commons are maintained. There are established mountain bike and walking trails throughout the estate, creating a private wonderland to explore.

There are various acreages to choose from, with the pasture suited to grazing anything from sheep or cattle to horses, even alpaca or angora goats. The Waitemata clay soil made it a prime choice for our truffiere, but is equally suited to developing your own self-sufficient gardens or orchard.

The heart of the estate, the Te Arai Truffiere, is New Zealand’s largest plantation, with over 17 hectares growing the elusive and highly sought after périgord black truffle. It’s tended by Philip Malajczuk with the help of specially trained truffle spaniel, Coco. The truffiere features over 9,000 hazelnut and oak trees, specially inoculated with the Périgord spores. We do have a limited number of planted sections available.
